Under the direction of the Branch Manager/Financial Counsellor, the Financial Advisor promotes and provides financial services to current and former Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, and their families. She/he provides information and/or assistance concerning insurance plans, benefits and other policy features. She/he completes Insurance Needs Analysis, if required, to enrol members in a SISIP Financial product to commensurate with their needs. She/he analyzes clients' financial records, sets goals and develops a financial strategy. The Financial Advisor analyzes investment portfolios and risk profiles and makes investment recommendations to clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field, AND some years of experience in financial services
College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or a related field, AND several years of experience in financial services
A demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. This includes but is not limited to demonstrated military education, training or experience
License for the sale of life insurance (MB)
License for the sale of mutual funds (MB)
Certified Financial Planner (CFP), an asset
Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), an asset
Financial Counselling experience
Language requirement: English Essential
• In the provision of financial and investment services
• In financial counselling
• In building long term relationships with clients
• In dealing with litigation matters and negotiations
• In organizing and delivering presentations
• In providing investment advice
• In making assessments and referrals to other professionals
• In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, e-mail and Internet browsing

Salary: $64,390 - $75,770 per annum
