I.T. Infrastructure Technologist -Summer Student
The I.T. Infrastructure Technologist Summer Student will assist other I.T. staff in the support of City’s networks, servers, communications, and related components to achieve availability and performance of the various business applications supported.
Dates: July 4 – September 1, 2017 (approximate dates)
Wages: $13.69 per hour (2016 rates)
Hours: 36.25 hours/week
Location: City Hall – I.T. Department
Responsibilities for the I.T. Infrastructure Technologist Student:
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems.
Conduct research on appropriate hardware and software in support of procurement and system development efforts.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the I.T. Infrastructure Technologist Student:
Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma
Currently enrolled in a related post-secondary program with a recognized technical training institute.
Ability to work independently, as part of a team.
Practical knowledge of desktop and server operating systems and hardware.
Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
