Web Developer -Summer Student
Reporting to the Information Technology Manager, the Web Developer Summer Student’s role is to assist in defining, analyzing, developing, testing, and maintaining web based software in support of the achievement of business requirements. This will be accomplished through building and sustaining the organization’s web sites and social media efforts in an expert manner.
Dates: July 4 – September 1, 2017 (approximate dates)
Wages: $13.69 per hour (2016 rates)
Hours: 36.25 hours/week
Location: City Hall – I.T. Department
Responsibilities for the Web Developer Student:
Assist with design and content maintenance of the various city websites
Assist with the creation, editing and publishing of videos/photos for the Department’s web/social media efforts.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the Web Developer Student:
Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma
Currently enrolled in a related post-secondary program with a recognized technical training institute.
Ability to create superior, original designs for the web sites and applications.
Ability to work independently, as part of a team.
Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Practical knowledge of graphic design software.
