Director of Public Works
Operational Services Division
The Director of Public Works ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Streets & Roads, Sewer & Water, Building & Traffic Maintenance, Meter Shop, and Sanitation Sections to meet the needs of the City of Brandon. This position will be involved in the setting of long and short range plans, budget, policies and staffing controls. The Director of Public Works also maintains relationships with other Operational Services departments.
•Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma;
•Post secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field and demonstrated continuous learning;
•Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or equivalent is an asset.
•Considerable management experience with an extensive background in a public works environment or an equivalent combination of education and public works experience;
•Minimum of five (5) years in a progressive leadership position in a public works role.

Rate of Pay: $115,154 – 124,245 per hour - 2017 rates (Pay Grade 11).
Position Conditions: This is a full-time, permanent position of 40 hours per week.
