We are in search of an Educational Technology Specialist who can take Assiniboine College to the next level in all aspects of educational technology.
You’re an innovative thinker who understands the importance of educational technology in today’s post-secondary environment. You’re passionate about innovating the learning environment and about working with faculty and staff in the identification and promotion of technologies for the advancement of teaching and learning. Your contributions will create unparalleled student experiences through enabling faculty to respond to students’ needs and expectations.
You’re a persuasive person who has the ability to steer people in the right direction and guide them as they explore the use of educational technologies and Learning Management Systems. Your experience in the delivery of training and information (in the form of workshops, seminars, and the maintenance of web based resources) will enable you to inform and guide faculty in a variety of technology areas. You will be a valued member of the Centre of Learning and Innovation (CLI) team and be the main connection between the College and the external LMS vendor.
Your extensive experience with Educational Technology combined with an appropriate degree will give you the base tools to deliver results. Additionally, you should have a minimum of two years directly related experience in supporting a LMS (experience with Moodle would be an asset), using multimedia for course development, and working with faculty in the use of educational technologies. You will demonstrate proficiency in the use of HTML, CSS, and Microsoft Office. You will have strong project management skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and creative and collaborative thinking skills.
